From branding to interior consultation we helped define and refine the vision for Sweetgrass, a healthy and organic new fast casual restaurant.
The Sweetgrass mission focuses on getting you the best local ingredients to create food that tastes great and is great for you. In creating the branding for Sweetgrass we wanted to craft a modern take on a classic typographical ornament. The accompanying icon set is fresh and playful to evoke the ingredients used throughout the menu. The distinct color palette is bright and inviting.
Working closely with the renowned interior designer Brian Paquette we evoked an airy and modern experience. Murals and all-over custom wallpaper prints were created based on the iconography set to add warmth to the space. The linear graphics translated well into neon signage and the light fixtures used throughout the restaurant reference the organic, playful forms of the iconography.
To build on the brand beyond menus and packaging we created unique merchandise, including aprons, mugs, a t-shirt collection and a collaboration with local apothecary Blackbird to create a custom soap.
